Abstract

The evolution of digital technologies has significantly transformed pediatric dentistry, leading to more accurate, efficient, and patient-friendly treatment options. Modern digital pediatric dentistry integrates the latest advancements in intraoral sensors, computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and three-dimensional (3D) printing technologies. These innovations offer numerous advantages such as enhanced diagnostic accuracy, improved treatment planning, and greater comfort for young patients. This review explores the roles of these technologies in pediatric dentistry, their impact on clinical practice, challenges, and future prospects. Additionally, the paper addresses how these digital advancements contribute to reducing discomfort, minimizing the need for invasive procedures, and enhancing treatment outcomes for pediatric patients.

Developed by Dr. Campagna in the 1980s, the Campagna Technique represents a comprehensive approach to rehabilitating severely compromised dentition. It focuses on a multidisciplinary approach, combining the principles of prosthodontics, periodontics, and occlusion to restore the patient’s ability to chew, speak, and smile with confidence. The technique emphasizes the importance of both structural restoration and patient-specific treatment planning, providing an individualized solution to each case. With the rising number of patients presenting with debilitated dentition, it is imperative to develop more effective and predictable treatment strategies. The Campagna Technique offers a new paradigm in dental rehabilitation, ensuring that patients who were once limited to traditional dentures or unsatisfactory restorations now have access to more sophisticated and long-lasting solutions.
