As the most common primary malignant bone tumor in children and adolescents, osteosarcoma often presents with metastases to the lungs, significantly impacting prognosis and treatment outcomes [1]. The management of metastatic osteosarcoma requires a multidisciplinary approach, integrating diagnostic evaluation, surgical intervention, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and emerging therapeutic strategies. Early detection of metastatic disease through advanced imaging techniques and biopsy is crucial for treatment planning and prognostication. Despite advancements in treatment modalities, including neoadjuvant and adjuvant chemotherapy regimens, the overall survival rate for pediatric patients with metastatic osteosarcoma remains suboptimal.
