Abstract
Infrastructure is a fundamental component of fisheries management, providing the essential support systems and facilities necessary for the efficient operation of fishing activities. This abstract explores the critical role of infrastructure in sustainable fisheries management, encompassing ports and harbors, processing plants, research and monitoring facilities, and aquaculture infrastructure. Well-designed infrastructure not only facilitates the landing, processing, and distribution of seafood products but also supports safety at sea, quality control, and market access for fishing communities. Challenges such as inadequate infrastructure and climate change resilience highlight the need for innovative solutions and investment in sustainable infrastructure development.
