The Journal of Palliative Care and Medicine, Omics publication, is an international prominent journal which published articles globally in the prime field of Palliative Care, End of Life and its applied fields and return it to the forefront of conceptual developments in the discipline. It is an open access and peer reviewed journal by eminent Editorial Board and the manuscripts are peer-reviewed by potential reviewers according to their research interest. Journal has successfully completed 9 years of successful Journey and is all set for the running year. It provides bimonthly publication of articles in all the areas related to End of Life Care, Palliative Care Nursing, Geriatric Care, Palliative Oncology, Palliative Neurology, Palliative Care Drugs, Palliative Care and Euthanasia, Family Caregiver, Old Age Care and Palliative Care, including all current researches. We are highly glad to mention that during the year 2019, all issues (6 issues) of Volume 9 were published online within the given time frame and print issues were also brought out and dispatched within 30 days of publishing the issue online. Journal impact factor of 2019 was approximately calculated by dividing the number of articles published in 2017 and 2018 with the number of times they are cited in the Google Scholar citation database. The current unofficial impact factor for JPCM is 0.54 and Index Copernicus Value is 81.07. During the calendar year 2019, JPCM received so many papers including the original research, short communication, reviews, short commentaries, image articles etc out of which some articles (50%) were rejected in the preliminary screening due to plagiarism or being out of the format. These articles aim at describing new insights and advancements in rapid developments. During 2019 articles were subjected to the peer-review process and almost all were accepted. Several research scholars from around the globe reviewed article and have participated in the peer review process. Moreover, we will be releasing special issue for the year 2020 to publish the most exciting research in reference to the Palliative Care and Medicine which will include the latest trending ongoing research especially based on the COVID-19 that the world is facing right now and will keep promoting the researches based on the Palliative Care and Medicine. Once accepted and done with the peer review process, it will be published. After that, it will be freely available online for reading, downloading and printing. The special issue aims at exploring topics related to the preventive measures towards COVID-19 and related topics.

• Approaching potential reviewers for the Call for papers

• Maintaining the frequency of articles. We are one of the most renowned publishers with most of its journals indexed in the esteemed databases like Google Scholar, Scopus and listed in the PubMed. According to the statistics, it shows that open Access publishing is generating 1.4 million articles annually; the esteemed rate of this
annual growth of open access model is around 3% to 3.5% every year.

The increasing trust of academicians is rising consistently at the rate of 3% each year. Upcoming Strategies to improve Journal

• We are coining Special Issue on “preventive measures towards COVID-19” as the Novel Corona Virus/Covid-19/SARSCoV-2 is an unpredicted pandemic to the universe. We are providing a platform for the research aspirants who can submit their manuscripts. It is a wider scope topic can also cover Palliative Care and Emerging Treatments.

• We strive to improve readers for the published respective article in various social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, etc.

• We are approaching core Laboratories, research institutes, investigation labs and departmental Universities for call for papers as well as related journals.

• We are sending timely Call for papers for the respective countries according to their time line.

• We are using Search Engine Optimization (SEO), by adding major keywords in the article, it would be easier for the Google Keyword Planner to show our article in higher pages while the readers search.

• We are also available to the authors through live chat and Whatsapp to respond fast.

Conclusion

I take this opportunity to acknowledge the contribution of Doctor Michael Silbermann and Akmal El-Mazny during the final editing of the articles published and the support rendered by the editorial assistant and in bringing out the issues on time.
