Introduction

Sebaceous carcinoma is a rare and aggressive malignancy originating from the sebaceous glands, with the majority of cases reported in the ocular region, particularly the eyelid. However, instances of sebaceous carcinoma occurring outside the eye are exceedingly uncommon, posing diagnostic challenges for clinicians and pathologists. In this report, we describe a unique case of sebaceous carcinoma presenting in an atypical anatomical site, resembling primary ectopic breast cancer. The rarity of such occurrences underscores the importance of thorough clinical and histopathological evaluations in guiding accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. We explore the clinical context, imaging findings, and histological characteristics of this unconventional presentation, aiming to contribute to the understanding of sebaceous carcinoma’s diverse manifestations beyond its conventional ocular location [1-3].

This case is notable for its rarity and the diagnostic challenges it presented. The unexpected localization of sebaceous carcinoma outside the eye, resembling primary ectopic breast cancer, underscores the importance of considering diverse differential diagnoses in unusual clinical scenarios. Conclusion

In conclusion, this case report presents an extraordinary instance of sebaceous carcinoma occurring outside the eye, mimicking primary ectopic breast cancer. The rarity of such a presentation challenges conventional expectations and necessitates a meticulous diagnostic approach. The diagnostic journey involved a combination of clinical evaluation, imaging studies, histopathological analysis, and immunohistochemistry, culminating in the identification of sebaceous carcinoma. This case contributes to the growing body of literature on rare malignancies, providing valuable insights for clinicians, pathologists, and researchers.
