Jenner’s development of the smallpox vaccine, which utilized the cowpox virus to confer immunity to smallpox, marked a ground-breaking moment in medical history [6 ]. This revolutionary approach not only protected individuals from a disease that had plagued humanity for centuries but also set the stage for the development of subsequent vaccines. Throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, the field of immunization continued to advance.
