In nerve injury, nerves are fragile and can be damaged or destroyed by pressure, stretching or cutting. A nerve injury can stop signals to and from the brain, due to which muscles cannot work properly, and a loss of feeling in the damaged area or the injured area. Nerve injury can be classified into three types: Neuropraxia, Axonotmesis, Neurotmesis. Neuropraxia considered as the physiologic blockage of nerve. Axonotmesis includes anatomic disruption of axon with little disruption of connective tissue. Neurotmesis involves anatomic disruption of axon and connective tissue.
