"The malignant gliomas are primary brain tumors and represents about 78% of all malignant tumors of the central nervous system. The majority of these tumors are considered as high-grade tumors according to the current classification of the World Health Organization (grades III and IV) when diagnosed. Glioblastoma (GB) is the most aggressive form of gliomas, and is highly infiltrative and is morphologically very heterogeneous. Currently, the protocol adopted for the treatment of glioblastoma is based on surgery followed by radiation therapy and chemotherapy.
