Biography

Sahar Mohamed Kamal completed her M.B.B.Ch. She is Faculty of Medicine-Ain Shams University Dec. 1991 - Residant of Clinical pathology at Ain Shams Hospitals from April, 1993 to December, 1993 - Demonstrator of pharmacology- Faculty of Medicine-Ain Shams University, Jan. 1994 - M.Sc. in pharmacology- Faculty of Medicine-Ain Shams University- May, 1997 -Ass. Lecturer of pharmacology- Faculty of Medicine-Ain Shams University-Sept.1997 -M.D. in pharmacology- Faculty of Medicine-Ain Shams University-May, 2002 - Lecturer of pharmacology- Faculty of Medicine-Ain Shams University-Sept. 2002 - Associate Prof. of Pharmacology- Faculty of Medicine-Ain Shams University- Sept. 2007 - M.Sc. of clinical pathology- Faculty of Medicine-Cairo University- august, 2008.

Interview
1. How many years have you been associated with the current research?

A: 21 years

2. What is the research topic you are working on now?

A: Possible GABAergic action of Paliperidone in chronic restraint model

3. What are attributes for a quality article?

A: proper preparation of my protocol with wide collection of references, research question, sample size, pilot study to provide me with an idea of my proposed results, proper matching and randomization of rats, good lab equipment and calibration, statistical analysis with the suitable tests.

4. Do you have any research funding (NIH or other national funding) now?

A: No, in Egypt now we suffer economically in research funding but we try to do our best by the available resources till possible recovery.

5. When did you become an editor of OMICS Journal?

A: Please accept my apology as I passed by a lot of serious events in my country so I can’t exactly remember the date but I think to be approximately since 2 years. Excuse me if it is not 100% exact but it is around that.

6. Where can the journal find the maximum scope in terms of niche?

A: from the current state of health and disease as regards neuroinfectious diseases esp. in tropical areas.

7. What is your greatest career accomplishment?

A: I think I do not accomplish it yet.

8. How does the published scientific content assist the potential researchers?

A: by good scientific interpretation and high creative thinking while they do comparison between the published work and their own. Also they must depend on the relevant scientific published work in respectable and well-known publishers.

9. What is the purpose of serving as an editor?

A: cresting good contact with other scientists, possibly in different fields and countries, and I get too much benefit from their comments.

10. Do you have any patents?

A: No

11. Have you contributed any editorials or papers (any types) to OMICS Journals in the past two years?

A: yes but again I can’t remember their number but it was with JNID and JND

12. Do you plan to contribute any editorials or papers to OMICS Journals in the next year?

A: if I survive, I think I’ll do why not unless some possible problems may be encountered , only there I think I’ll not be able to cooperate otherwise I hope to do my work with you regularly as much as I can.

13. How would you define your experience with OMICS Group?

A: scientific, fruitful, provide me the chance to communicate with scientists outside Egypt as unfortunately I did not have this chance before to be done by travelling. My experience with you provides me this valuable chance online and I appreciate it a lot.

14. Your opinion on conducting Editorial Board meetings at related Conferences?

A: I participate in neurology 2014 conference that will be hold next september 2014 via a video and by student’s fees. The organizer delt with me in a very respectable way and I’ll be happy if my video presentation will be representable in this conference. This will be my first to participate in a conference related to OMICS as my institute cannot afford my travelling abroad but the organizer help me too much and I’ll wait the result.

15. Would you recommend OMICS to your friends or colleagues?

A: Many of them know you but when you have a problem that I don’t know its details with FDA they were anxious but I think they continue dealing with you.

16. How do you differentiate Journal of Neuroinfectious Diseaseswith other journals in the field?

A: you are worried about your scientific future, you do your best to reach your scope and your aim of the work to be one of the most reliable and famous journal in a very critical and specialized field in medical sciences. I think you are good fighters and you will achieve your goal as soon as possible as you wish and more. Best of luck to all of you
