Biography

Dr. Pedro Paulo Tanaka is the director of orthopedic rotation. He is interested in resident education and he sits at the Educational Committee. His research focus in the next 4 years is post-operative cognitive dysfunction in elderly morbidly obese patients. He graduate in Brazil in 1988, developed his carrier there until he move to US 5 years ago as a visiting professor. He had the opportunity to organize major anesthesia meetings in Brazil for many years. He served as president of Parana State Society of Anesthesiology from 2005-2006.
