Research Interest

The study of enzyme inhibition by newly synthesized structures for the establishment of biologically active compounds important for drug design or medicinal chemistry.

The study of enzymatic variation and some signaling pathways in some diseases such as Diabetes mellitus.

The characterization of the enzyme in patients and healthy individuals is studied in a whole investigation of biomarkers of a parasitic or hereditary disease.

The detection of the biochemical changes occurring is parasitic diseases such as schistosomiasis and faschioliasis by studying the characterization of many different enzymes in these diseases. This includes the study of enzymes involved in biological oxidation and cell signaling.

Interview
1. How many years have you been associated with the current research?
I have been performing scientific research for 37 years since 1977.

2. What is the research topic you are working on now?
I am working now for the design of inhibitors of some enzymes, enzymatic alteration in experimental diabetes and the genetic polymorphism of some genes.

3. What are attributes for a quality article?
If it presents a pioneer idea such a new enzyme inhibitor for drug designs.

4. What are the qualities you look for in an article?
Mechanism and model of an interaction to understand a specific biological function..

5. Do you have any research funding (NIH or other national funding) now?
No.

6. When did you become an editor of OMICS Journal?
In October 2013.

7. What is your greatest career accomplishment?
Good teaching of different courses of biochemistry for a broad spectrum of students.

8. How does the published scientific content assist the potential researchers?
This occurs by the announcement of the published articles among the scientific and medical societies.

9. What is the purpose of serving as an editor?
To evaluate true and high quality articles to improve the scientific level and impact of the journal.

10. Do you have any patents?
No.

11. Have you contributed any editorials or papers (any types) to OMICS Journals in the past two years?
This will be dependent on the quality of my ongoing research.
