Biography

Amr Amin is a Professor of Cell & Molecular Biology and a graduate faculty at UAE University. He earned his PhD in Cell & Developmental Biology from University of Illinois at Chicago and received a postdoctoral training in Molecular Genetics at University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. After joining UAEU, Dr. Amin’s focus was redirected to the field of preventive medicine. His lab is interested in natural product-based protection against cancer. Most recently, his lab has been employing non-invasive approaches and nanoparticles to learn more about the molecular aspects of chemoprevention particularly against liver cancer. He published many research articles, reviews and book chapters in reputable journals. He also serves on the editorial boards and as a reviewer of many international journals. Dr. Amin is also the recipient of many national and international awards.

 
Research Interest

Amr Amin research interests focus biology and chemoprevention of cancer, preclinical studies, and novel plant-based anticancer drugs.

1. How many years have you been associated with the current research?
About 14 years

2. What is the research topic you are working on now?
Metabolomics analysis of two biomolecules in hepatoma cell lines.

3. What are attributes for a quality article?
Well supported experimentally and well presented as a manuscript.

4. Do you have any research funding (NIH or other national funding) now?
Terry Fox Foundation

5. When did you become an editor of OMICS Journal?
From the very beginning of its start.

6. Where can the journal find the maximum scope in terms of niche?
No idea what do you mean.

7. What is your greatest career accomplishment?
So far, publishing in top journals and being recognized for national and international awards are.

8. How does the published scientific content assist the potential researchers?
No researcher can start a research without finding what peers has published in that area.

9. What is the purpose of serving as an editor?
Helping out in the evaluation process through my (and others) network of specialized colleagues.

10. Do you have any patents?
No.

Yes.
