Biography

I, Dr. Shweta Kulshreshtha, am lecturer in Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. I born in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh (India) and complete my study there. After marriage, I moved to Jaipur and complete PhD from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. I have qualified UGC-CSIR NET- 2004, GATE-2002 and TIFR examinations. I have approximately 6 years of teaching experience. I worked as Microbiologist with Medispan limited (A unit of Shriram Group, Chennai). My general research subjects include bioremediation of paper and pulp industrial waste, mushroom cultivation, genotoxicity assays, Ames test and Immunological techniques. I also diagnosed Tuberculosis using FAST plaque TB test. She attended 16 National or International Conferences and presented her work in oral and poster presentation.  I won four awards or prizes in various National and International Conferences during research. I have published 6 research papers in National and International Journal. Chapter on bioremediation of pulp and paper industrial waste has been submitted for publication in the Springer’s book. At present, I am publishing papers and books in the field of Biotechnology, Microbiology and Immunology.

1. How many years have you been practicing and/or performing research?
About 2 years

2. What is the research topic you are working on now?
Biodegradation, bioremediation, mutagenicity assay, antimicrobial sensitivity test

3. What makes an article top quality?
Good language, statistical analysis, unique topic, title, strength of abstract, clarity in write-up

4. What are the qualities you look for in an article?
Content, data, supporting documents – if available, topic- interesting or not, language is understandable or not

5. Do you have any research funding (NIH or other national funding) now?
No

6. When did you become an editor of OMICS Journal?
Since June 2011

7. What is your greatest career accomplishment?
Now, I am in Amity University, still engage in research, won many prizes, publish many papers, writing research projects for funding and waiting for doing something new and get recognition in the whole world

8. How does the research published percolate through to practitioners?
Through internet, journals, newspapers, sharing of views and latest research in the respective conferences

9. What is the purpose of serving as an editor?
Just to serve the good journal

10. Do you have any patents?
Not yet

Only one. I did not receive any mail/ intimation even my article is published. Try to send the intimation letters to the authors whose article is published online

Yes, Always

Quality of articles published is good, open access Journal
