Journal of antivirals and antiretroviral is one of the top journals in the current field of virology which publishes novel work in the form of different article types such as research or review articles. This journal acts as a barrier for exchange of scientific knowledge among researchers and scientists.
Viral diseases are extremely widespread infections which are caused mainly by viruses. There are many typical types of viruses existing in the world which cause a variety of life time diseases and cancers. The most common type of viral diseases that we can observe is common cold, which is a viral infection of the upper respiratory tract, which is one the example for contagious (which can spread from person to person)
Viruses cannot exist without the support (host) and for survival they need to spread to another host. This is because the original host may either die or eliminate the infection. There are several viruses that have an animal or plant reservoir from where they affect humans. Bodyââ¬â¢s first line of defense against viruses is innate immune system which is made up of cells and other mechanisms that defend the host from infection. This provides a temporary protection against the viral onslaught. During adaptive immunity the faces the virus and remembers it. This is a more permanent form of immunity that may last a life time against the particular strain of virus. Specific antibodies are produced against the virus. One main reason for the study of viruses is the fact that they cause many infectious diseases, among them the common cold, influenza, rabies, measles, many forms of diarrhea, hepatitis, yellow fever, polio, smallpox and AIDS. Some viruses, known as oncoviruses, contribute to certain forms of cancer. The best studied example is the association between Human papillomavirus and cervical cancer. It is now acknowledged that almost all cases of cervical cancer are caused by certain strains of this sexually transmitted virus.
OMICS Group offers an opportunity and a forum of Open Access Scholarly Published Articles (OASPA) for bringing together all the scientific communities of Open Access journal publishers. The main mission is to expose, spread the areas of Open Access (OA) journals and book publishers globally in all Fields such as environmental, Life sciences, clinical, technical, engineering models and scholarly disciplines.
