Dr. Francesco received his MD degree and Specialized in Gastroenterology. He did fellowship in gastroenterology at Chicago University. He is a registrar in gastroenterology at the Groote Schuur Hospital, University of Cape-Town, South Africa. He did Japanese-spoken PhD at the Hirosaki University, Japan. He has been granted a Fellowship by the Japanese Ministry of Science at the National Cancer Center, Tokyo, Molecular biology stage at Welcome-Beecham Labs. of London, and at GoodGene Lab. in Korea. He is Hon. Research Professor at Dept of Nutrition & Food Science, Texas University, USA and visiting professor in gastroenterology, oxidative stress, aging and nutragenomics at major asian universities. For 10 years he had directed a research center in Japan and cooperates with Nobel Prize Prof. Luc Montagnier. He is the editor and board member of over 25 PubMed-listed medical journals. He has received several international prizes, the last being the Genomic Pioneer Award 2009. He is the Co-founder of the research group ReGenera which is working on an innovative model of preventive/regenerative medicine. He has co-edited a successful book on aging-intervention and some book chapters on probiotics and vitamins and co-founder of the research group ReGenera which is working on an innovative model of preventive/regenerative medicine. He has published 135 papers and presented 400 communications.

Kazuki Takakura was born in Yokohama, Japan on February 4, 1976. He received his medical degree and completed general residency of internal medicine at the Jikei University School of Medicine in Tokyo, Japan. Afterward, he has joined the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology in the Department of Internal Medicine at The Jikei University School of Medicine.
