Biography

She is an assistant professor of Health Sciences in the Istanbul Medipol University in Turkey. She is also the head of the Elderly Care Program.  She is the coordinator of palliative care courses in the university. She is a consultant of the palliative care workshop in the university. She has academic experience for 14 years. After her master's degree in psychiatric nursing, her doctorate work focused on psycho oncology. She received her Ph.D. degree in 2012. She currently provides psychosocial support services for adult cancer patients and their families in the oncology departmant. She has participated in many studies about hospices in some centers in USA, Canada and European Countries. She teaches many courses in associate, undergraduate and graduate programs related to palliative care and end of life problems, health psychology, geriatric psychiatry, mental health, psychiatric nursing, interpersonal communication and psycho oncology.

Research Interest

Her research focuses on the psycho-oncology, end-of-life problems, peaceful death, hospices, palliative care.
