Biography

Dr. SHAFIQUR RAHMAN did his B.V.Sc. & A.H degree programme from Nagpur Veterinary College, Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University, Nagpur, Maharashtra, India in the year 2004 and awarded Dr. V. A. Sapre Award and Silver Medal for Topping in B.V.Sc & A.H Examination and obtaining Highest Marks in CLINICAL MEDICINE. In 2004, he has got admitted in Post Graduate Institute of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Akola (Under MAFSU, Nagpur) for MVSc (Veterinary Pathology) degree programme and worked on “EXPERIMENTAL LEAD TOXICITY IN BROILERS WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO HISTOPATHOLOGICAL AND IMMUNOPATHOLOGICAL INVESTIGATIONS”. For PhD programme, he got admitted in Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, India and awarded Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) for Doctoral Programme from 2007 to 2010. His area of research work was “IMMUNO-PATHOLOGICAL STUDIES IN EXPERIMENTAL T-2 TOXICOSIS IN WISTAR RATS”. During PhD programme, he got selected as Assistant Professor cum Junior Scientist, Division of Veterinary Pathology, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu, R. S. Pura- 181102, Jammu (J& K), (INDIA) in the year 2010 and working till date. He has published more than 50 research papers in national and international repute journals and authored more than 04 book chapters. He has guided 05 MVSc students as Major Advisor and 05 PhD and 15 MVSc students as Minor Advisor.
