Biography

Salvatore CHIRUMBOLO was born in Nicastro (now Lamezia Terme) on February 01, 1964. He graduated summa cum laude in Biological Sciences at the University of Bologna (Italy) in 1990 discussing a thesis about the molecular genetics of bobbed locus in D. melanogaster. He joined since 1992 the Professional Association of Biologists of Italian NHS and in 1995 he gained the High Post-Graduated Diploma in Biochemical Chemistry (Ph.D.) with honors at the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Verona. In 1997 he held the Viral Molecular Biology Laboratory (VMBL) as Biologist Chief Director at the ULSS 22 Regione Veneto of the National Health System (HSN) and in the year 2000 he held a managing as Health Chief Director in an important laboratory for human health analysis associated with HSN. Since 2007 he works at the Department of Pathology at the University of Verona as Technical Senjor Researcher. He teaches in the Master School of Laboratory Medicine. His main interest has concerned the investigation of basic research in homeopathy, the use of high diluted substances on immune cells, the cellular and molecular biology of plant derived compounds on inflammation, the cellular biology of basophils. From 2008 to 2009 he was a member of the Counsel of the Department of Morphological and Biomedical Sciences-University of Verona. Currently, he manages the Molecular Biology of Adipose Tissue in the Department of Medicine-University of Verona. He was awarded with three grants gained at GIC XXV Italian Congress on Flow Cytometry and in other two Congress as coauthor, Rome 2008 and Chicago 2009. He is a member of Italian Society of Chemical Pathologists. He is author of more than 60 publications, 36 of which on Pubmed and he reviewed many articles for Planta Medica, Clin Exp Allergy, J Microb Biochem Technol, Redox Report, Explore, Int Arch All Immunol, Allergy, Hum Exp Toxicol, J Altern Compl Med.

Research Interest

His main interest has concerned the investigation of basic research in homeopathy, the use of high diluted substances on immune cells, the cellular and molecular biology of plant derived compounds on inflammation, the cellular biology of basophils.
