Biography

Professor Obas John Ebohon is currently the Dean of the Academy for Sustainable Futures at Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) in Canterbury, Kent – England. Prior to this, he was a Professor of Sustainability and Environmental Law and Director of the Centre for Integrated Delivery of the Built Environment (IDoBE) in the School of the Built Environment and Architecture (BEA) at London South Bank University (LSBU). Before this, he was a Reader in Energy, Sustainability, and Development at De Montfort University in Leicester and Director of the Developing World Built Environments Research Unit (DWBERU). He is a proven academic with evidence of published research and active participation in local and international academic arena. He has supervised more than 30 PhD students to successful completion on related built environment research topics. His research interests are in Energy, Sustainability, Economic Development, Urban Infrastructure Delivery Strategies, and Construction Multinationals. He has initiated and managed local and international research collaborations, while providing academic leadership to a dedicated team of multidisciplinary researchers. He maintains active external engagements, offering expert services to local and national governments, as well as unilateral and multilateral organisations. He on the International Advisory Board of UN-Habitat World Cities Report (https://unhabitat.org/wcr/),  served on the Sustainability Expert Advisory Group for two London Metropolitan Authorities - Lambert and Southwark Councils, advising on 'Citizens’ Jury on Climate Change' as a bottom-up strategy for shaping policy response to Climate Emergency and the desire for net-zero carbon emissions. He is the current Chairman of the International Advisory Board of GreenHubAfrica (https://greenhubafrica.com/)
