Biography

Dr. Ming Zhou has received his PhD in Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2010. Then, he moved to University of California, San Diego as a Postdoctoral Scholar in 2011. Currently, he is working as Research Associate in Case Western Reserve University. He has honored with The Excellent Prize of the President Scholarship of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2011. Dr. Ming Zhou has published more than 35 scientific papers in international, peer-reviewed journals and 1 book chapter, such as Accounts of Chemical Research, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Angewandte Chemie International Edition, Chemical Communications, Lab on a Chip, Chemistry - A European Journal, and Analytical Chemistry. His research is focusing on nanomaterials, biosensors, bioelectronics, drug delivery, nanomachines, electrochemical energy storage, bionanotechnology and electroanalytical chemistry.

Research Interest

1. Novel nanomaterials in bioanalysis and sustainable energy applications.
2. Bio-assays and electrochemical assays with different analytical and separation systems.
3. Biocomputing systems for Boolean logic gates, medical diagnostics and other bio-applications.
4. Biomolecules machines (mimicking logic circuits, motors, tweezers, etc).
5.Micromotors/nanomotors for biomedical and environmental applications.
