Michele Roccella is Associate Professor of Neuropsychiatry at the Department of Psychology, Pedagogical and Educational Sciences, University of Palermo (Italy). He graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Palermo and obtained his Specialization in Infantile Neuropsychiatry at the same university. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Nuropsyopathology of evolutionary learning processes at the Second University of Naples. He obtained his PhD in Miology from the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery "Pierre et Marie Currie" - Hospital of Salpetriere, Paris (France). It ’the author of over 368 publications on national and international journals and has been awarded several prizes, among his publications are mentioned several monographs such as "Epilepsies and cognitive function in children and adolescents" (1999), "Neuropsychological phenotypes in genetic syndromes malformation with cognitive impairment in children and adolescents "(2000)," New problems of adolescence: the use of anabolic substances as a substance of abuse "(2000)," The child with special needs and the school culture and pedagogy of integration "(2002), "The pervasive developmental disorders" (2004), "Autism and generalized developmental disorders.
