Biography

Dr. Jagadeesh S Sanganal was born in 1972 in Karnataka. He completed BVSc and MVSc from Veterinary College, Bangalore. He was awarded University Gold medal for PhD. He worked in the Department of Animal husbandry and Veterinary services, Govt. of Karnataka as Veterinary officer from 1999-2009. He joined as an Associate professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, KVAFSU Bidar in the year 2009. Since 2014, he is working as a Professor and Head i/c in the university. His major research areas are Nanotechnology, Chemotherapy and Pharmacokinetics. He has handled 16 research projects funded by University, Govt. of Karnataka and Govt. of India. He has authored 40 research publications in national and international journals and has authored three books. He has been instrumental in organizing four DABT examinations at Bangalore and has organized two International workshops on GLP and Comprehensive Toxicology, three National conferences including STOX and ISVPT and one International seminar on Risk assessment. He has guided 23 students out of which six are PhDs. He has advised more than 26 students as a committee member. He is working as Secretary-General, Association of Toxicology (AoT), SecretaryGeneral, Society of Toxicology (STOX), Executive committee member, ISVPT, Secretary, DABT Forum, India, Life member of Society of Toxicology, India, Life Member of Indian Society of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology, Indian Society for animal production and management, Asian Teaching & Research Professionals Forum, Life Member of Karnataka Veterinary Association and placed as a Govt. of India nominee for CPCSEA. He has been awarded two Best poster presentation awards and two Best oral presentation at National and International conferences. He has also been awarded Reviewer Excellence award by Indian Journal of Animal Research and Asian Journal of dairy and Food Research, ARCC Journals.
