Biography

Grazyna Adamus received Ph.D. in chemistry from the Faculty of Chemistry, Silesian University of Technology (Poland), and habilitation in chemical sciences at the Jagiellonian University in 2011. She is associate professor and head of the Laboratory of Biodegradable Materials at the Centre of Polymer and Carbon Materials, Polish Academy of Sciences, Zabrze, Poland. Her scientific achievements included over 80 scientific publications in indexed scientific journals, a few chapters in books, 6 patents as well as 150 presentations at national and international conferences.

Research Interest

Synthesis of copolymers, blends and novel polymeric materials of controlled biodegradability containing synthetic analogues of natural PHAs with made-to-order structure and properties. She also has extensive experience with application of mass spectrometry techniques to the structural study of synthetic polymers at the molecular level, documented by publications in indexed scientific journals.
