Dr Fern Todhunter is an Assistant Professor in Nursing at School of Health Sciences, The University of Nottingham UK. She holds a PhD in Nursing Studies, a Master’s degree in Social Policy and Administration and a BSc in Health Studies. She is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council in the United Kingdom as a qualified Nurse, Midwife and Community Specialist Public Health Practitioner. Dr Todhunter has been awarded Senior Fellow status with the prestigious Higher Education Academy and a Lord Dearing Award from The University of Nottingham for excellence in teaching and learning. Her specialist areas in higher education are e-learning and the related pedagogy and nursing informatics. Dr Todhunter has extensive experience in developing e-learning for students and has collaborated with Universities across the globe. Her range of publications, conference presentations and research reflect both her e-learning and nursing interests. Dr Todhunter enjoys project leadership and management and has led on a number of projects including the development of Re-usable Learning Objects and virtual exchange activities for students across the globe. She has worked as a reviewer for Nurse Education Today. Her teaching responsibilities include the development of interprofessional education and learning, communication, innovation and leadership.
