Elena Cristina Rada, PhD. - degree in Environmental Engineering in 2002, Politehnica University of Bucharest, Romania; PhD. in Environmental Engineering and PhD in Power Engineering (co-tutèle), University of Trento, Italy and Politehnica University of Bucharest, Romania in December 2005; Post-doc. in Sanitary Engineering 2006-2007 University of Trento, Italy. Contract professor for the Municipal Solid Waste Master in Politehnica University of Bucharest, Romania. Member of the organizing committee of “Energy valorization of sewage sludge” 2006 (international conference, Rovereto - Italy); Member of the organizing committee of Venice 2010 (IWWG international conference); Seminar activities in the University of Trento and Padua (Italy) and Politehnica University of Bucharest (master, doctorate, bachelor modules). Tutor of more than 20 final projects for student graduation. Manager of many university funds at national and international level. Reviewer of international journals. Speaker at 20 international conferences. Author or co-author of about 100 papers and contributions at national and international level

Research Interest

Bio-mechanical MSW treatments and RDF, biological techniques for biomass characterization, environmental and energy balances regarding MSW, indoor and outdoor pollution (prevention ,remediation) and health, innovative techniques for contaminated sites and streams.
