Biography
Prof. Asim Bhaumik did his Ph.D. in Chemistry from National Chemical Laboratory, Pune in 1997. Then he did his post doctoral research in the University of Tokyo and Toyota CRDL during 1997-2001. After that he has joined Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, where he is presently a Senior Professor. His area of research interest is designing novel Porous Organic Polymers, Covalent Organic Frameworks, Periodic Mesoporous Organosilicas, functionalized mesoporous materials, metallo phosphates/phosphonates and related porous nanomaterials for gas storage, metal ion sensing, energy storage, optoelectronics, photo/electrochemical water splitting and catalysis. He has published 350 original research papers and 13 patents.
Research Interest
Designing novel Porous Organic Polymers, Covalent Organic Frameworks, Periodic Mesoporous Organosilicas, functionalized mesoporous materials, metallo phosphates/phosphonates and related porous nanomaterials for gas storage, metal ion sensing, energy storage, optoelectronics, photo/electrochemical water splitting and eco-friendly liquid phase catalysis.
