Biography

Completed my medical school from Jinnah Sindh Medical University with honors and was amongst the top students of my class. I received 2^nd position holder and was a gold medalist upon completion of my M.B.B.S. As I had a dream to be an interventional cardiologist , I was completed my residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital, Bronx, New York and later pursued my dream to be cardiologist and then interventional cardiologist –  successfully completed both of her fellowships at University of Arkansas for Medical sciences in Little rock, Arkansas and then did 3 months of advanced peripheral training. I have served on different committees including committee of Intern and Residents (CIR) Morbidity and Mortality committees. I actively participated in improving patient care through my clinical work and research work and enjoy focusing on rare diseases and challenging managements. I am reviewer of multiple journals including medicine, general as well interventional cardiology. I am nominated to be editorial board member of both peer reviewed journals and trade magazines. I have been the first interventional cardiology fellow to be trained at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. I am appointed as a faculty at Metro health Medical Center Affiliated with Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. I am advocate for women in cardiology and interventional cardiology. Being a member of committee of interns and residents I have mentored many incoming interns and residents and is actively involved in their education and now continue to do so as a faculty.

Interventional Cardiology, Fractional Flow Reserve, Chronic total Occlusion, Pregnancy and heart disease, Heart valves structure and function,  Atherosclerotic vascular disease, metabolic heart disease, Elderly and heart disease, systolic and diastolic heart failure and ischemic heart disease
