Liu has been working in the field of mind body therapy for more than 20 years. His expertise lies in both research and practice. In past decades, Dr. Liu has designed evidence-based innovative intervention programs to deal with various diseases including diabetes, obesity and depression, and made important contributions to public health. He has been active at important positions in international organizations/academic journals and a regular speaker at national and international conferences. His research team consists of scientists/clinicians in multidisciplinary fields, including physical activity and sports medicine, alternative and complementary medicine, cardiology, psychology, psychiatry, epidemiology, and bio-statistics. Currently, Dr. Liu is working at The University of Queensland School of Medicine (based at Princess Alexandra Hospital) as a Senior Research Fellow, and an Adjunct Professor at the Wuhan Sports University, China.
Dr. Liu’s research interest is in clinical trials, elucidating the best evidence-based translational solutions to chronic disease, and improvement of human wellbeing and quality of life.
