Biography

Xiaohua Douglas Zhang is the Associate Director in Department of Biometrics Research, Merck Research Laboratories, West Point, Pennsylvania, USA. He earned his Ph.D. at Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. He has published 38 Reviewed papers, and he was author of a single-authored book and 2 book chapters. He served as Executive Member in Biopharmaceutical Section of American Statistical Association. He was one of the members in American Statistical Association, International Society for Computational Biology, International Society for Biopharmaceutical Statistics, Drug Safety Executive Council, International Association of Engineers, and Institute of Mathematical Statistics. He served as a reviewer of peer-reviewed journals (including Nature, Nature Methods, Bioinformatics, BMC bioinformatics, BMC genomics, Journal of American Statistical Association, Annals of Human Genetics et al) in the area of high-throughput screening and data analysis, bioinformatics and statistics. He organized 11 conferences. He received many awards like Merck Award for Exceptional Accomplishments, Merck Award for Excellence, Charlie Sampson Poster Award.
