Biography
Dr. Wu Ou is a Staff Fellow in the Division of Cellular and Gene Therapies, Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, FDA. Dr. Ou performs both scientific research and regulatory review. Dr. Ou’s research at the FDA covers Ebolavirus, targeted gene delivery, and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. Prior to joining the FDA, Dr. Ou worked on HIV and MLV virus entry and neutralizing antibodies as a Research Fellow at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, NIH, from 2001-2006. Dr. Ou obtained his MD from the Third Military Medical University, Chongqing, China, in 1993. He obtained his MS from the Academy of Military Medical Sciences, Beijing, China in 1998 and was appointed as an Assistant Professor there in 2000, studying hepatitis C virus and dengue virus. Dr. Ou published 36 original research articles, reviews, and book chapters.
