Biography

Currently He works at the Chair and Department of Palliative Medicine at Poznan University of Medical Sciences, teaching palliative medicine and supportive care medical and nurses students from Poland and English speaking students.
He is also actively involved in the care of patients at home hospice, out–patient clinic, a day care centre and an in–patient palliative care unit.
 

Research Interest

Chronic and cancer pain management with focus on opioids, especially the role of the opioids of step 2 of the analgesic ladder, Palliative care for patients with lung cancer, Gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, bowel obstruction, constipation), especially opioid-induced bowel dysfunction, Quality of life assessment in palliative care patients, Ethical problems in palliative care, especially euthanasia, Palliative oncology treatment.
