Dr Tao Lowe is an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Thomas Jefferson University TJU USA She earned her PhD with an Eximia Cum Laude at University of Helsinki Finland Prior to joining TJU she was an Assistant Professor of Surgery Bioengineering and Materials Science and Engineering and CoDirector of the Integrated Graduate Degree Molecular Toxicology Program at Pennsylvania State University Dr Lowe has published more than two dozen peerreviewed papers and book chapters and presented more than 130 presentations and more than 40 invited talks in academia industry and international conference The impact of her research activities has been recognized in the Royal Society of Chemistryrsquo;s magazine Chemistry in Britain the Research Penn State Magazine and the press release of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology Dr Lowe is a peer reviewer for more than 20 refereed journals related to more than 10 disciplines in basic applied and clinical sciences and a grant reviewer for the NIH NSF EPA and other government and private grant agencies around the world Dr Lowe has achieved numerous honors and awards including Finnish Education Ministry CIMO Graduate Fellowship and Early Career Award in Translational Research from the Wallace H Coulter Foundation Dr Lowe has chaired more than 20 sessions at international conferences and is currently the 2010 Chairelect of the Biomaterials Area of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers
