Sergei Smirnov currently a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the New Mexico State University Las Cruces USA earned his PhD at the Novosibirsk State University Russia Since then he has taught for over 20 years in Russia and US and published over 50 peerreviewed scientific papers and one book chapter He has served as a reviewer for different funding agencies and for various journals including JACS ACS Nano Nature Langmuir and others He has been awarded as a principal investigator and coinvestigator of a number of projects funded by NSF NIH and DOE

Research Interest

Molecular and bioelectronics devices; biosensors; drug delivery; surface chemistry; single molecule conductance and molecular electronics; nanofluidics; molecular physics and chemistry; photoinduced charge transfer; spin and magnetic field effects in chemical reactions.
