Dr. Saurabh Singh is an Instrument Assistant at Lujan Neutron Scattering Center at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He obtained his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Texas A&M University, and bachelors in Chemical Engineering from National Institute of Technology (N.I.T) Raipur, India. Dr. Singh has published more10 peer-reviewed journal articles, and 15 conference papers. He has also given several invited talks.
Dr. Singh’s research interests can be broadly divided in two categories: (1) development of biosensors for in vitro and continuous monitoring of chemical and bioanalytes, and (2) development of stimuli responsive biomembranes that can aid in an improved understanding of fundamental biophysical process occurring within cell membranes. In both cases, he has extensively relied on the utilization of various self assembly techniques (e.g. electrostatic layer-by-layer (LbL) assembly, lipid bilayers, and self-assembled monolayers (SAMs)) for the development of sensing technologies and stimuli responsive polymeric films
