"Dr. S. Brian Jiang is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Division of Dermatology and Director of Dermatologic and Mohs Micrographic surgery at UCSD. He received his medical degree at New York University School of Medicine and went on to the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center to finish his medical internship. He completed his residency in dermatology at New York University Medical Center where he also served as their Chief Resident during his last year. At NYU Medical Center, Dr. Jiang also completed a fellowship in Dermatologic and Mohs Micrographic Surgery. In 2000, Dr. Jiang joined the Department of Dermatology at Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. Dr. Jiang served as the Medical Director of the Beth Israel Deaconess Dermatology and Laser Center where he performed and taught Harvard Medical School dermatology residents and physicians on cosmetic dermatology procedures (botulinum toxin injections, filler injections, sclerotherapy, superficial chemical peels) and laser procedures (vascular, pigmented, hair removal, ablative and non-ablative resurfacing). He was also the Associate Director of the Beth Israel Deaconess Dermatologic Surgery Unit and co-directed the Mohs Micrographic Surgery Fellowship Training Program. In 2007, he joined UCSD as the Director of Dermatologic and Mohs Micrographic Surgery for the Division of Dermatology. In 2009, Dr. Jiang successfully obtained the approval from the American College of Mohs Surgery to start a prestigious Mohs Surgery Fellowship Training Program, and in 2011, he also obtained the approval from the ACGME (Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education) to begin a procedural dermatology fellowship program at UCSD. Dr. Jiang specializes in Mohs and Reconstructive Surgery as well as Cosmetic Dermatology and Laser Procedures. Dr. Jiang has published and lectured extensively on these procedures both domestically and internationally.
