Biography
Dr. Chen is Assistant Professor of Pharmacology, Toxicology and Therapeutics at the University of Kansas Medical Center since 2008. Dr. Chen had her Ph.D. in biochemistry in 2003 at the Sun Yet-sen University, China, and performed a 5-year post-doctoral research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA. Dr. Chen has published in many prestigious scientific journals, including PNAS, and Science Translational Medicine. She is an international board member for the International Society of Integrative Medicine in Japan, and has been Ad Hoc members on several study sections for DOD, and NIH. Her study in high dose vitamin C in cancer treatment has set the scientific foundation to re-investigate this CAM remedy in cancer treatment, and was widely cited and reported.
