Graduated from the American University of Beirut as Medical Doctor in 1992 then as a Specialist in Otolaryngology-Head Neck Surgery in 1997. After a post-graduate training at the Royal National TNE Hospital London, UK, Dr Bitar finished a subspecialty in Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Childrens National Medical Center the George Washington University School of Medicine, Washington, DC in 2002. He is currently Associate Professor of Otolayrngology – Head Neck Surgery Pediatrics at the American University of Beirut School of Medicine and attending on staff at the Medical Center since 2002. He is involved in teaching and research in his field and has published many studies pertaining to his subspecialty. He has also participated in several national, regional and international meetings and workshops and is an active member of several medical societies including the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology.Dr Bitar established the Section of Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Dept. of Otolaryngology – Head Neck Surgery at the AUB-Medical Center and was involved in several community services as well as committees for improvement of teaching and medical services.
