Biography

Dr. Ming Zhang received his Clinical Fellow Certificates in Otolaryngology at the Universities of Zurich and Iowa, his PhD in Speech Pathology & Audiology at the University of Iowa, and his Postdoctoral trainings in applying bioengineering in auditory neurosciences and molecular biology at Northwestern University and House Ear Institute. Ming Zhang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. He is also appointed in the Department of Surgery Otolaryngology. Dr. Zhang teaches guest courses and has been honoured as the Teacher of the Year twice. He accepts Master and PhD students as well as Postdoc.

Research Interest

Application of neuroscience & bioengineering in clinical issues, e.g., cochlear & brain responses, speech perception, cochlear implants, cell regeneration, tinnitus, and aging.
