Biography

Min Wang is a tenured professor at The University of Hong Kong. His research interests include biomedical materials, tissue engineering, controlled release, and bionanotechnology. He was awarded BSc (1985) and PhD (1991) degrees in Materials Science & Engineering by universities in China and U.K.. He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng, 1995) and Chartered Scientist (CSci, 2005), U.K. After PhD graduation, he conducted teaching and research in universities in the U.K., Singapore and Hong Kong. He has a large number of publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He has given many conference presentations, including more than 100 invited talks, at international conferences. He has also given more than 90 seminars in universities, research institutes and hospitals in Western Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. He has been Chairman and/or Organizer of more than 10 international conferences and has served in committees of 50 international conferences. Since 1991, he has been a referee for nearly 80 international journals. He is the Series Editor of Springer Series in Biomaterials Science and Engineering books and Editor or Associate Editor of several international journals (Materials Letters, Nano LIFE, etc.). He also serves in the Editorial Board of more than 10 other journals including Journal of the Royal Society Interface (London, UK). Due to his outstanding achievements, he has been elected fellow of professional societies in the U.K., U.S.A. and Hong Kong (FIMMM, 2001; FIMechE, 2007; FHKIE, 2010; FBSE, 2011; AIMBE Fellow, 2012; WAC Academician, 2013).
