Biography
Michal Besterci works at the Institute of Materials Research, Slovak Academy of Sciences, in the area of composite materials. In 1987, he received his Doctor of Science and in 1997 Professor of Material Engineering at the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava. In 2008 he was awarded an honorary degree of Doctor honoris causa from the Tallinn University of technology in Estonia. He is an author of 7 monographs and 12 chapters in monographs and 680 original scientific works in the field of composites based on Ag, Cu, Al, Pt, MoSi2, Mg and Ni published in journals and conference proceedings. He is a member of six editorial boards of journals
