Biography

Martin L Gimovsky MD is an Attending Physician the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Newark Beth Israel medical Center in Newark, NJ. . He is certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and in Maternal Fetal Medicine. Dr Gimovsky is Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Dr Gimovsky is a graduate of the School of Engineering and Applied science at Columbia University. He attended New York University School of Medicine in New York City and subsequently served as a resident at The Sloane Hospital for Women at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr Gimovsky did his fellowship training in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Los Angeles County/University of Southern California Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. Dr Gimovsky has had a life long interest in student and resident education in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He has directed residency education programs for the past 2 decades. Dr Gimovsky has authored several textbooks and more than 200 articles on operative obstetrics that deal primarily with issues surrounding labor and delivery. Dr Gimovsky serves on the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is actively involved in the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics (APGO) as well as the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
