Biography

Dr Lorenzo Ferroni has received his PhD in Biology at the University of Ferrara Italy during the period of 20012004 Subsequently he got research contracts at the same Institution in the period 20042007 From September 2005 to January 2006 he was visiting scientist at the Dept of Plant Ecophysiology of the FriedrichAlexander University of ErlangenNuremberg Germany Currently he is working as Researcher in Botany at the Dept of Biology and Evolution University of Ferrara He has authored 13 research articles published in peerreviewed international journals and one contribution in a book He is a member of the Società Botanica Italiana the Società Italiana di Biologia Vegetale the Botanical Society of America the Federation of European Societies of Plant Biology

Research Interest

Response of land plants and microalgae to environmental stress. Morphology, functionality and composition of the plastid system. Chlorophyll fluorescence. Biotechnological use of microalgae.
