Biography

Liyan Qiu is a Professor & Director of Zhejiang University. She completed her Ph.D. from Zhejiang University on Polymer Chemistry and Physics. She started her career as an instructor and then as an Associate Professor in Zhejiang University. She has authored or co-authored more than 50 SCI-indexed papers on various international journals such as Journal of Controlled Release, Molecular Pharmaceutics, Nanomedicine, Biomaterials and so on. These papers have been cited by others for more than 530 times. She was selected into New Century Excellent Talents Program of China Ministry of Education and 151 Talents Program of Zhejiang Province, and awarded Chinese Pharmaceutical Association-CSPC young pharmaceutics award.

Research Interest

Research interests cover novel drug delivery systems and functional biomaterials used as drug carriers, specially controlled release preparations for peptide and protein drugs, targeted delivery system for anticancer drugs or genes, and self-assembly of amphiphilic biopolymers for drug delivery.
