Biography

Keith Hedges is an NCARB certified architect and an Assistant Professor at the Hammons School of Architecture for Drury University. He earned independent and simultaneous graduate degrees in architecture and structural engineering at Iowa State University. Keith teaching repertoire includes seventeen courses from architectural design, engineering technologies, to professional practice at NAAB and ABET accredited institutions. While pursuing a PhD in Architecture Education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, he has published several peer reviewed papers reflecting on BIM and higher education reaching out to national and international audiences. As a principal investigator, Keith led three universities to a national Research for Practice (RFP) grant from the AIA Board Knowledge Committee that explored collaboration in the digital domain and distance learning. As a lead author, Keith directed the University of Wyoming to two national AIA awards (2008 citation and 2009 honorable mention). He is an appointed member of the National BIM Standard, Design Workgroup involved in shaping the forthcoming Version 2, and served as an advisory board member for the Architectural Graphic Standards, Student Edition (11th ed.) by John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
