Biography
Joana Simões Pereira is a young Medical Doctor at Endocrine Department in Instituto Português de Oncologia de Lisboa, Francisco Gentil, Portugal. She is currently a PhD student in the field of thyroid cancer. She has presented several studies at national and international scientific meetings and has some publications in peer-reviewed journals. She is also a member of relevant National and International societies like Portuguese Society of Endocrinology (Sociedade Portuguesa de Endocrinologia, Diabetes e Metabolismo, SPEDM), Portuguese Study Group of Thyroid, European Society of Endocrinology and American Thyroid Association.
Research Interest
Endocrinology, Metabolism, Cancer screening, Endocrine Tumors (thyroid, adrenals and neuroendocrine tumors) and Endocrine disorders in cancer survivors.
