Biography

Dr HuiLin Pan is currently Helen T Hawkins Distinguished Professor and Deputy Division Head for Research in the Division of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center Houston USA He earned his MD/PhD at Tongji Medical University in China and conducted his postdoctoral research training at University of California Davis He has published more than 150 peerreviewed papers and has authored 5 book chapters He has been teaching neuroscience and neurophysiology for more than 15 years He has served as a member of several NIH study sections since 2000 and is a reviewer of more than 20 journals in the area of neuroscience pain analgesia and cardiovascular physiology

Research Interest

Cellular and molecular mechanisms of pain and synaptic transmission; Brain control of the cardiovascular system; ion channel physiology, pharmacology of G protein-coupled receptors.
