Biography

Dr Hui-Fen Wu received her Ph.D. degree from the University of Texas at Austin, USA in 1994, followed by postdoctoral appointments at University of California at Berkeley, she went back to Taiwan and took office as an associate Professor (1996-2001) and later Professor (2001-2006) in the Department of Chemistry, Tamkang University. She then moved to the Department of Chemistry, National Sun Yat-Sen University, Taiwan in 2006 where she currently holds a Professorship and heads the Nano-Biomedicine and Nano-Proteomics Mass Spectrometry laboratory. Her lab hosts interdisciplinary and intercontinental researchers with chemists, biologists and pharmacists from India, Egypt and Taiwan working together.

Research Interest

Application of nano-based biological mass spectrometry in the investigation of bacteriology, biotechnology, oncology and molecular biology.

Proteomics, lipidomics, glycomics and metabolomics.
