Dr. Hongyu Tian is the Medical Instructor in Duke University Medical Center, Durham. He completed his B.S. from Sichuan University, Chengdu, China and PhD from Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. He was a postdoctoral associate in Duke University from 2009 to 2015. Dr. Hongyu Tian received Susan G. Komen for the Cure Postdoctoral Fellowship from 2011 to 2015 and the CureHHT, Young Research Scholar Award in 2015. In addition to his research, he had been a reviewer for scientific journals and served as an editorial board member for MJCSR Journal. Dr. Hongyu Tian research interests focus on investigating the roles of TGF-β superfamily, including the ligands and their receptors, in different types of cancer progression, as well as in the developmental and tumor associated angiogenesis.
