Biography

Dr Haiwei Luo has completed his M.S in the University of South Carolina during the period of 2006-2008 with a focus on marine microbial ecology and completed his Ph.D. in the University of South Carolina during the period of 2008-2010 with a focus on molecular evolution. Currently he is working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the University of Georgia. He has authored several research articles including a PNAS paper selected as a Cover article. He is a member of the American Society of Limnology and Oceanography.

Research Interest

Dr. Haiwei Luo main research interests include microbial ecology of the aquatic ecosystem, aquatic biogeochemistry, microbial population genetics and genome evolution.
