Head of Inorganic Materials and Catalysis Discipline
Central salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute
India
Dr. H.C. Bajaj obtained BSc. (1976) degree from Kurukeshtra University, a Master of Science (1978) in Chemistry from M D University Rohtak and Ph.D (1983) from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in chemistry under the guidance of Prof P C Nigam In 1984 joined Central salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute (CSMCRI) in the Catalysis Discipline, where currently heading the Inorganic Materials and Catalysis Discipline. The interests are primarily in the areas of homogeneous & hydrogenised homogeneous catalysis using micro and mesoporous solids like zeolites, clays and inorganic metal complexes, porous high surface area as materials drug carrier, catalysts (photo) /adsorbents and for storage materials. He did postdoctoral research in the laboratory of Prof. Rudi van Eldik at Witten University Witten, Germany, and also worked as visited scientist at Korea Institute of Energy Research at Teajon, South Korea as Brain pool fellow. More than 290 publications to his credit along with 15 international patents.
